Team Death Match

Team Deathmatch: Sport LARPing Adventure

Overview
Team Deathmatch is an action-packed LARPing event designed for players aged 10 and up. This competitive game mode emphasizes strategy, teamwork, and fun, using foam weapons, padded armor, and strict safety rules. With no headshots allowed, players can enjoy a thrilling yet safe medieval combat experience.

Gameplay Details

Objective:
Eliminate all players on the opposing team or score the most points within the time limit.

Teams:

  • Two or more teams with 3–6 players each.

  • Team colors are identified using armbands, flags, or sashes.

Time Limit:
20–30 minutes per round.

Field Setup:

  • A large outdoor or indoor arena with obstacles (e.g., foam barriers, hay bales, cones) for cover and strategic play.

  • Designated respawn zones for players to return after being "eliminated."

Equipment

  1. Weapons:

    • Foam swords, shields, daggers, and staves.

    • Optional: Bows with foam-tipped arrows (for advanced players).

  2. Armor:

    • Padded chest pieces, gloves, and helmets for all players.

  3. Additional Gear:

    • Team markers (e.g., colored armbands).

    • Scoreboard (optional for point-based play).

Rules

  1. Safety First:

    • No headshots or intentional rough play.

    • Foam weapons only; all equipment must pass a safety check before the match.

    • Players must wear helmets and padded armor at all times.

  2. Combat:

    • A valid hit is any clean strike to the torso, arms, or legs.

    • Players "eliminated" after one hit must return to their team’s respawn zone and wait for 30 seconds before rejoining.

  3. Winning Conditions:

    • Elimination Mode: A team wins when all members of the opposing team are eliminated.

    • Point Mode: Teams earn points for every player eliminated, with the highest score at the end of the time limit winning.

  4. Respawn Rules:

    • Players can respawn an unlimited number of times unless stated otherwise.

    • Players must fully return to the respawn zone before re-entering the game.

  5. Boundaries:

    • Players must stay within the designated play area. Stepping out results in a penalty (e.g., a temporary timeout).

Game Variations

  1. Capture the Banner:

    • Teams must retrieve a flag from the enemy’s base while defending their own.

  2. King of the Hill:

    • Teams compete to control a central point on the battlefield for the longest time.

  3. King:

    • Each team has a heavily armored "leader" who must be protected at all costs. Eliminating the leader ends the game.

Setup Requirements

  • Location:

    • A spacious, obstacle-filled area such as a field, park, or gymnasium.

  • Props:

    • Foam weapons, team markers, helmets, and padded armor.

    • Barriers for strategic cover.

  • Staff:

    • At least two referees to enforce rules and ensure safety.

Safety Guidelines

  1. Supervision:

    • Referees monitor gameplay to enforce rules and resolve disputes.

    • First aid kits should be readily available on-site.

  2. Player Education:

    • Brief players on rules, safety, and fair play before the game begins.

  3. Weapon Checks:

    • All foam weapons must be inspected for damage or wear before use.
