VIP Escort
Objective:
The objective of the VIP Escort game is for the escort team to protect the VIP and get them safely to a designated "safe zone." The opposing team will try to eliminate the VIP and stop them from reaching the safe zone by tagging them with foam swords or using bow fire. The first team to successfully protect or eliminate the VIP wins the round.
Setup:
Players:
Escort Team: One team is designated as the escort team. This team’s goal is to protect the VIP and escort them to the safe zone.
Assassin Team: The opposing team’s goal is to eliminate the VIP using foam swords and optional bow fire.
VIP: One player is designated as the VIP. The VIP cannot use foam swords and is primarily protected by the escort team.
Play Area:
The game takes place in a large open area with a designated "safe zone" that the VIP needs to reach (e.g., a specific corner or area of the play zone).
Boundaries should be clearly marked to prevent players from leaving the combat zone.
If using bows, designate the sideline area where archers will be stationed to provide support to the assassin team.
Equipment:
Foam Swords: All players, except the VIP, use foam swords to tag opponents.
Optional Bows: If using bows, assign archers to the sideline who can shoot at the opposing team or the VIP.
Hit Points: Each player has 2 hit points. A player is eliminated after receiving 2 hits. The VIP is protected by the escort team and can only be eliminated if tagged directly by the assassin team.
Respawn: After being eliminated, players must wait for 20 seconds at their respawn point before returning to the game.
Game Rules:
Hit Points:
All players (including the VIP) have 2 hit points. A successful foam sword hit or bow shot reduces 1 hit point.
The VIP can be tagged by the assassin team and eliminated after receiving 2 hits (one from a foam sword and/or one from a bow shot).
Escort Team members can be eliminated by receiving 2 hits, but the VIP is only out if eliminated directly by the assassin team.
VIP's Role:
The VIP is a non-combatant and cannot fight back using foam swords. The VIP’s only goal is to reach the safe zone.
The VIP can be protected by the escort team, who will try to block or intercept any attacks.
The VIP must move towards the safe zone while avoiding being tagged by the assassin team.
Escort Team's Role:
The escort team's job is to protect the VIP and clear a safe path for them to reach the safe zone.
The escort team members can fight with foam swords, but their primary objective is defense and escort.
Escort team members can be eliminated by receiving 2 hits (one from a foam sword or a bow shot). They must go to the respawn point and wait for 20 seconds before re-entering.
Assassin Team's Role:
The assassin team tries to eliminate the VIP by tagging them with foam swords or hitting them with bow shots from the sideline.
If the VIP is tagged, they are eliminated from the game and must go to the respawn point (they are out for the rest of the half).
The assassin team can attempt to tag any member of the escort team, and if they are eliminated, they must go to their respawn point.
Optional Bow Fire:
Archers positioned on the sideline can shoot foam-tipped arrows at the opposing team.
A successful bow shot reduces 1 hit point for the player tagged.
Bows can only target the opposing players, and archers cannot shoot the VIP directly (unless you wish to allow archers to target the VIP in specific cases for added challenge).
Each archer has a limited number of arrows (e.g., 5 arrows per half), and once they run out, they must wait until the second half to use them again.
Archers can only shoot during gameplay and must avoid interfering with the physical combat directly.
Respawn:
After being hit and eliminated (2 hits), players must head to their designated respawn point and wait for 20 seconds.
Players cannot participate during the respawn time and must remain at the respawn point for the full 20 seconds before rejoining the game.
VIP respawn: If the VIP is eliminated, the game is paused, and the assassin team wins the round. However, if the escort team successfully reaches the safe zone with the VIP, they win the round. If the game has multiple rounds, players return for the second half after a short break.
Winning the Round:
The escort team wins if they successfully escort the VIP to the safe zone.
The assassin team wins if they tag and eliminate the VIP before they can reach the safe zone.
The round ends when either the VIP is eliminated or successfully escorted.
Game Time:
The game consists of two 15-minute halves, with a short break in between.
If neither team achieves their objective (VIP successfully escorted or eliminated) by the end of the first half, the game continues into the second half.
The team that wins the most rounds by either eliminating the VIP or successfully escorting them to the safe zone wins the overall game.
Safety Guidelines:
Foam Sword Safety:
All foam swords should be soft, lightweight, and free of sharp edges or hard components.
Players should aim for the torso, arms, or legs and avoid striking the head.
Headshots:
No headshots are allowed. All hits should target the body or limbs for safety.
Bow and Arrow Safety:
Only foam-tipped arrows should be used for bow fire.
Archers should aim for the body or limbs and avoid shooting directly at the head or face.
Archers must ensure their shooting zone is clear of other players.
Boundaries:
Players must stay within the designated play area. If a player leaves the area, they are automatically eliminated for the round and must respawn.
This VIP Escort game format encourages teamwork, strategy, and action, with the added challenge of using foam swords and optional bow fire. It’s a fun way to test coordination, defense, and offensive tactics in a fast-paced environment!
