Gameplay Details
Objective:
Eliminate all other players to become the last person standing or score the most eliminations within the time limit.
Players:
Suitable for 4–12 participants.
Each player is a solo competitor—no teams or alliances (unless a variation allows them).
Time Limit:
10–20 minutes per round, depending on the number of players and field size.
Field Setup:
A large, open space with obstacles (e.g., foam barriers, cones, trees) to create cover and tactical opportunities.
Clearly defined boundaries to keep gameplay fair.
Equipment
Weapons:
Foam swords, daggers, shields, and staves.
Optional: Bows with foam-tipped arrows (for advanced players).
Armor:
Helmets, padded chest pieces, gloves, and optional leg padding for all players.
Markers:
Players can carry a foam token to signify when they are eliminated.
Rules
General Gameplay:
Players spread out in the field at the start and wait for the referee’s signal to begin.
Once the game begins, players engage in combat, attempting to eliminate others.
When a player is hit, they are "eliminated" and must leave the field.
The game ends when one player remains or when the time limit expires.
Combat Rules:
No headshots or intentional rough play.
A valid hit is any clean strike to the torso, arms, or legs.
Players eliminated must raise their foam token and leave the play area immediately.
Winning Conditions:
Last Player Standing: The game ends when only one player remains.
Most Eliminations: If the time limit expires, the player with the most eliminations wins.
Game Variations
Timed Eliminations:
Players respawn at set intervals, and the winner is determined by total eliminations.
Alliance Mode:
Temporary alliances are allowed but can be broken at any time, adding an element of betrayal.
Weapon Pick-Ups:
Scattered foam weapons or shields are placed in the arena, and players can upgrade or switch during the game.
Sudden Death:
Players start with only one "life" (no respawns), making the game even more intense.
Setup Requirements
Location:
A spacious outdoor or indoor area with clear boundaries and obstacles.
Props:
Foam weapons, helmets, padded armor, and optional foam tokens for eliminated players.
Staff:
One or two referees to enforce rules, monitor safety, and declare winners.
Safety Guidelines
Supervision:
Referees oversee the game to ensure players follow safety rules.
A first aid kit should be available on-site.
Player Briefing:
All players are briefed on combat rules, safety guidelines, and fair play before starting.
Equipment Checks:
Inspect foam weapons and armor for any damage before the game begins.
